sorry iv not got back to everyone iv not been on here for a few days...my weekend has been so busy...we were doing the pond ( yes i know the pond AGAIN ) we have put all the fish and plants in ...BUT the water fall is a no go..the design we came up with is no good  ..so we are going to have to rethink that one lol.friday i got a new mobile phone..and yes i cannot work it out lol..so as well as doing the pond iv also spent the weekend trying to work the phone out..so its either get a friends teenager to help me or go back to the shop and let them set me up..either way im going to be embarrassed lol..and friends ask why i dont get new things all the time lol..

 .SO I LEFT THEM TO IT AND ENJOYED THE HOUSE TO MYSELF PLAYING MUSIC AS LOUD AS I COULD TO PEE THEM OFF LOL.

July 23 EPILEPSY....WHAT ARE THE CAUSES ?.
the brain consists of more then 100 billion nerve cells,these all communicate with one another,some provoke others into further messages ( EXCITATON ),WHILE OTHERS TEND TO BLOCK THEM ( inhibition ).
the proper working of the brain depends on a balance: too many nerve cells sending messages at once without enough being blocked can produce a sort of electrical storm-or a seizure.
common causes include brain damage from birth injuries-a stroke-brain tumours-head injuries and alcoholism.some seiures probably have a genetic basis,although its rare for epilepsy to run in families,how ever no one cause has been found to back this up.
WHOS AT RISK ?.
seizures can occure with out any obvious cause,but the risk is much greater in those who've had brain damage,these seizures can occur many years after the injury.
certain recreational drugs ( COCAINE )for example and alcohol can induce seizures,and while the first seizure can be brought on by the drug inquestion eventually spontaneous seizures may occur even after drug use has stopped.
epilepsy,except in rare circumstances,isn't inherited,although the risk of developing epilepsy may be increased slightly in relatives of those who have the condition.
PARTIAL SEIZURES:which bein in one part of the brain then spread to effect other parts.
GENERALISED SEIZURED:which start in both sides of the brain at once and causes the person to lose consciousness.
what a person experiiences during a seizure and whats seen by others depends on where it starts and how quickly the "STORM" spreads.
seizures can take many forms and don't always involve losing consciousess or convulions ( WHEN THE MUSCLES RELAX AND TIGHTEN RHYTHMICALLY ),most are sudden and short lived lasting from seconds to minutes.
some partial seizures may be no more than the rhythmical twitching of part of a limb,an unusual tatse or a sensation through the body or pins and needles in one part of the body can be "WARNINGS" or "AURES".
seizures should be consided as a possible cause of recurring episodes of confusion or strange behaviour in some people.
ABSENCE SEIZURES-a brief interruption of consciousness-can be suspected in children who are having repeated lapes in concentration lasting seconds.
PEOPLE ARE OFTEN UNAWARE OF THE FOLLOWING FACTS :-
:-epilepsy is common and can affect anyone~.
:-most people with epilesy successfully control their seizures with drugs~.
:-epilepsy in some people does get better,allowing people to come of drugs~.
:-most people with epilepsy can lead normal lives~.
:-epilepsy is very rarely inherited~.
:-violence during a seizure is rae and people having a seizure are no threat to others~.
:-most seizures aren't dangerus to the person having them.

i hope i have not upset anybody by doing this blog or to get people worrying over their loved ones.
i have done this as i feel i have been on spaces long enough for people to get to no me and have not judged me through knowing i have epilepsy and this has helped me as by doing this as i will never get used to having seizures myself but i hope it will help others to understand more.

hi everyone hope you're all well, what a great weekend its been for me,i'v done no cooking at all sunday again i awoke to tea and toast ( i think its the guilt from yesterday).hubby then said we were going out to look for the pond liner,we ended up going to three different places,the first one was no help the staff were very rude,just walking about and when we did ask for help he ended up leaving us half way through,to help somebody else so on the way home hubby then said how about going for a pub lunch so of cause i had to say yes lol,we ended up at a place called brewers fayre,and the meal was fantastic and very filling but that might have been helped by the couple of drinks that we had with meal lol.so no cooking again for me hehe.well my weekend went well, ( for me anyway ), take care and more blogs to come later,love to all rach x
July 19 THE MIST........
hi everyone hope you are all well today, as i'm a big fan of stephen king a good friend got me a copy of THE MIST,and its one of the best films i'v seen in a long time,its one of those films that keeps you on your toes all the way through,i'm not going to put on here anything about the film, except that if you like a bit of a scare you need to watch this at night with the lights low,so all in all a good film with a fantastic twist to the ending,a must see film,if you get to see it i would love to hear you comments. love to all,rach x July 16 this is for darren........

July 14 DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.........hi everyone,hope you are all well today,
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE:yesturday one of my neighbours began a very heated argument with her partner,this soon turned to violence to which the person in question began to scream,this then went on for a few minutes befor i began to feel i needed to do something.....but do you get involved or leave them to it....the reason this went through my mind was with all the knifeing and people being killed just by helping somebody out.......so do you go round or do you call the police on somebody you know and you know this is a rocky relationship and arguments are a regular accurance.....it then turned to hitting and crying that could all be heard to which i grabed the phone and called the police without a second thought, the next thing i knew she had come running round to my house banging on the door and in a terribible state.
the police then called round to which i left to let them talk to her and i was to keep a look out for her son who was expected home,to my disappointment people were twitching the blinds and nets to have a good look,but are not willing to help somebody out.
i do think i did the right thing and i hope somebody would do the same for me~if it be i was being attacted in my own house or if i was out somewhere and a attacker began on me.
nobody should go through violence but alas this is becoming a reguler thing in this day and age and people are scared to help out incase it gets turned round on to them!

hi everyone, hope you are all well, well today, i had no plans so i stripped the bed and down came the curtains all for the wash and in to the machine as the sun was out,i had just done that when the phone rang and yes it was my mum asking if i would like to go out for a few hours with her,well i hummed and ared and in the end i said yes, ( you see we dont get on that well ) she said she would be at my house in half an hour ,well i was not evern dressed so on went the hair straighteners and one mad rush to get dressed,and to put on a bit of slap lol.i had just got myself looking half nomal when i sew that the pond filter needed cleaning out, i had just started that when mum pulls up in the car.so it was a very quick clean and back into the pond. we ended up going out for lunch which was very nice and a nice cold beer with it lol,after lunch we went for a walk and had a mum and daughter chit chat, that i hoped cleared up a few things between us lol, but all in all a very nice day. i gets back home and i forgot that the washing was still in, so out it came and on to the line,i then relised the bed needed to be made and more curtains to be put up, its the one thing i hate and thats makeing the bed up lol. and i had even forgot to switch the pond back on,so it had been off all day.a few hours later i rang mum to thank her for a nice day and next time give me more warning lol.so thats me for today hope you all had a good day as well, love to all. June 30 garden hi everyone hope you have had a good day,well today the sun has been out and so i thought i would do a bit of gardening,so out came the mower and away i went ,all was going well untill i went over a bird ( it was dead ) from one of the cats ,and the smell was nasty .and under the bird was a nest of red ants, so i thought nothing of it and cared on, untill i felt like i was walking on little needles,the bloody little red ants were all over my feet lol,surpose it was my folt for wearing flip flops to mow the grass  .if people were looking at me it looked like i was doing a war dance lol cos i was  stamping my feet and jumping about just to get the ants off lol,but i got my own back,i put down ant powder, so that should be the end of them, take care and i'l speak soon ,love to all, ~ RACH ~XJune 29 MORE OF THE POND............... hi everyone hope you are all well, this weekend has been spent doing the pond, well not me, hubby & james to be moe exact ,i'v been the tea lady lol ,when im not on here  ,whats been done is the building of the water fall as you can see from the pics, at first it was going to be built from brick which my brother was going to do,but becos hes been working weekends we could not wait for him to be free,so we went ahead and used slabs,the reason we can not wait is the lining has to be down and filled with water and then left for 2 weeks to settle down before the fish can go in.we need the fish to be in and settled before the cold weather sets in hubby is a bit moody cos hes back at work monday after having a week off, so i'm having to be extra nice lol not that im not anyway lmao ,so hes watching his favourite dvd film layed out on the sofa with a beer , (battle of the bulge) no its not a dvd of me fighting my fat lol.. take care and i well blog soon, love to all ~ RACH ~. June 26 my week hi everyone hope you are all well, what a week i'v had, it all started friday night, it was my nephews 3rd birthday on saturday, so we went over friday night so he could open is present on the morning of his birthday,that took till late friday night,on saturday we promised a friend we would help him put coveing up in his living room,but with hubby and friend drinking and trying to work at the same time,was a disaster lol we were at it from 8 in the morning to 12.30 at night, but we did end up doing the kitchen as well. sunday was my other nephews 5th birthday,so yes over we went sunday morning,to which we were greated by a very excited little boy and a moody 12 year old boy lol,monday we had to take the car in becouse the heater had not worked for about 3 months so with hubby having the week off ,i sort of nagged till he took it to the garage (me a nag no ).but the funny thing is we left it there and about a hour later we got a call to go and pick the car up,when we got there the heater was working and nothing was wrong with it,the garage did do a bit of work on it,but we were a bit red faced, so that afternoon we went to clumber park and had a picnic, it is one of the most beautiful places you could go to, the picturesque views from any part of clumber is amazing,clumber is over 3000 sq acres, with a mass of lake and wildlife to be seen,( sorry this is not a lesson lol ).we ended up stopping till 9 when the sun was setting which was very romantic,tuesday hubby had some tongue & groove flooring delivered for his shed which we are doing as well as the pond lol so we were doing that all day which was a pain in the ass lol near the end hubby was getting mad cos he kept cutting the last bits wrong and i could not stop laughing at him doing it wrong and getting mad so that was getting him more mad cos he's not the sort to be angry thats why i was laughing but in the end we did it lol.(thank god).and wednesday we went into town did a bit of shopping,and i had a run in with a smart arse teenager, all because i said excuse me please so i could pass her,you would have thought i had swore at her,she turned to me ,gave me a look up and down and said something i can not write here and moved,we passed and there she went again with her mouth,hubby was not to happy but we carried on and left her to it,cos if i had said anything to her it would be me who would be in trouble lol.and thursday im here and i'v just buggered my music up so i will keep trying to see if i can sort that out lol, well i hope you are all well ,and i will talk soon,take care and love to all,xxx June 19 dentist HI everyone hope alls well with you all, well wednesday was finely the day that hopefully was the last day of the toothache,  i was at the dentist for 9, and i can tell you i had butterflies in my tummy,only because of all the horror storys that i had heard about the root canal i was having , but no everything went well,the only time i was in a bit of pain was when the dentist put the needle in my gum and when the dentist drilled down inside my tooth and he hit the nerve OUCH ! A hour later and it was all over.(HURRAY) and a couple of hours later after the numbness had wore off and i was just in a little discomfort,but compared to what the pain was like before i can gladly put up with it, but just a couple of ibuprofen i was fine, i have to wait a month for the job to be finishedand hopefully thats that ! we have'nt done nothing else with the pond because hubbys been working 10 - 12 hours shifts , so its taking that bit longer, but a few more photos to be down loaded for you all to see,bet you cannot wait. lmao keep well and i will blog soon. love to all ~RACH~ xxxJune 16 unwell. hi everyone hope you've all had a good weekend,mine started badly friday met up with a friend who i'v known for 30 years,we went in to town to do a bit of shopping,then went to lunch,i had a cheese & ham omelette which was lovely, but a few hours later i started to get tummy cramps. later that evening it all started, i was not away from the loo all night lol,but my friend was fine ?.saturday i just did'nt have any strength to do much,but i had to go over to my dads becouse it was fathers day sunday,but as the day went on i started to feel fine again,i can not say this is a one off thing because last year i had food poisoning for a week and i had been to the same place ?i will think twice before i go again, lol .take care love to all RACH X.June 12 the pond hi everyone,hope your all well, as you can see if you have looked at my pictures we are still doing the new pond,some people have said that it looks realy big,well yes it is because the fish that are going in will grow realy big and need the space,the gold fish started out as little house fish ,but got to big so we put them outside and just keep growing,koi grow big to. the others i dont now about them,thats hubbys job lol.we are still undecided on how we are going to do the water fall,but i will keep the pics updated as we go along,and if it stays sunny.June 09 just some wise words hi everybody,hope your all well,what a great weekend weather wise,it just makes you feel happy when the sun is out,(i hope ).i went out saturday night for a meal then round town for drinks i could not believe all the kids that were out and half naked (O my god i sound so old lol ) but its true,well anyway had a good night and i didnt get to drunk but hubby wouldnt say that lol. been to dentist today and i have to have a root canal done,but 2 people all ready have said its so painful that i souldnt have it done so i dont no what to do.if anybody has had it done PLEASE let me know what you went through. take care and i'l speak soon. love to all RACH X |

,so we ended up just walking out,the second one did'nt sell pond liners so that was no good but the last one was fantastic,the man who helped us was amazing,he had the time to talk through everything we need and how we should go about things,so a big thankyou to john for his help.
